Iv48
Hi, my employer is based out of Ontario. I am working out of Quebec. In Quebec portion of the employer paid premium for health insurance is a taxable benefit. As my employer is based out of Ontario, I only have a T4. Where should I enter the amount that employer paid for insurance premiums so I can pay the taxable benefit. Thank you for your help,
Papet
Hello, Hello, Ideally you should have received a Relevé 1 from your employer. At least a letter that indicates the amount of the employer paid premium. Here is how to enter the required data (I have assumed a premium of $2,500.00). You create a T4 / RL-1 page. Note that the premium is shown in Box J and will count as a medical expense in your Quebec return.
Iv48
Perfect. Thank you so much for your guidance. I do have a receipt from my employer stating the amounts paid for insurance premiums so I will use that. Thanks again
